Key Responsibilities for the Electronic Design Engineer:
- Design, develop ad maintain the electronic hardware and firmware for new and existing products
- Be responsible for, and actively contribute to, the development of concepts for new products, by collaboration with colleagues as well as the generation of own new ideas.
- Responsible to the Head of Engineering and working alongside Product Design and Firmware/Software engineers.
- Ensure the timely completion of development projects in a structured way.
- Work collaboratively with external design partners to meet project deadlines, if deemed necessary
- Identify and ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations and nonstatutory approvals.
- Ensure full documentation of all work conducted, for future design reference, for manufacturing, and for QA system compliance.
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience of PCB design from concept & specification developments, developments of solutions, selection of components, through schematic capture and PCB layout (Ideally KiCad)
- Experience of building, testing, debugging prototypes and early production models. Use of scopes, bus analyzers, etc
- Software/Firmware experience would be useful, but as a minimum basic software and firmware skills for commissioning of hardware are essential.
