Our client, a fast-growing and market-leading Claims management company, is currently recruiting for a Personal Injury Claims Handler to join their Claims Handling Team. The Personal Injury Claims Handler will be responsible for investigating, reserving, and negotiating settlement of complex and high-value personal injury claims.
Responsibilities for the Personal Injury Claims Handler
Assessing indemnity, investigating liability and quantum on motor claims, ensuring that each claim is dealt with thoroughly to limit indemnity spend
Communicating professionally to ensure our client's policyholders are treated fairly and that the customer receives world-class customer service in accordance with industry and company guidelines.
Proactively managing a caseload ensuring that correspondence and tasks are dealt within the SLA’s
Negotiating settlement of third-party claims
Key Skills & Experience for the Personal Injury Claims Handler
Essential
Strong experience and background within a similar role
Time management, organisation skills be a capable and confident negotiator
Have a proven track record in dealing with fast-track and multi-track bodily injury claims including liability disputes
Experience working with the OTC portal
Strong written and spoken communication skills
Thorough understanding of;
Personal injury claims (MOJ/Scottish and fast track)
Advanced liability
Fraud awareness
Principles of indemnity
Requirements under the RTA and Article 75
