Our client a prestigious MSP based in Kent is currently recruiting for a 3rd line Engineer to join their growing team. The 3rd line Engineer will be the point of escalation to resolve tickets and be responsible for providing training and guidance to junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities for the 3rd Line Engineer
Act as an escalation point on Helpdesk, supporting with varied and complex tickets and upskilling colleagues.
Perform a variety of duties relating to ticket support on Helpdesk and hardware maintenance. These include resolving tickets such as user setups, software installs, hardware fault finding, VPN troubleshooting
Attend client sites as and when required to fulfil business requirements, to include ad-hoc emergency visits to fix issues that have come from a support ticket
Manage a small team of engineers, if required, and follow best practice with support from the HR Manager.
Provide training & guidance to junior engineers. Assist when they require help, ensuring they understand and learn the solution. Creating and updating HD Knowledge base articles when relevant
Key Skills for the 3rd Line Engineer
Windows Server and Desktop support
Office 365 tenant setup and administration
VMWare/ Hyper-V. administration & support
Strong networking. capabilities (DNS, routing, switching etc).
VoIP knowledge, preferably 3CX.
In depth Firewall + Router knowledge. Setup & support.
MSP Experience / Helpdesk Experience.
Group Policy setup, administration, & support.
Exposure to Cloud Wireless setups & troubleshooting
Strong Infrastructure knowledge and experience
