We are working with a leading technology company who are seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Account Manager to join our team in a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will be working on the retail sales team managing the D2C accounts.
Key Responsibilities for the Account Manager:
Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within the existing customer network.
Regularly engage with customers to introduce new manufacturers, products, services, and technologies, fostering sales growth.
Drive new business opportunities through customer and brand engagement.
Profile potential leads to uncover avenues for new business development.
Utilise market intelligence and historical data to strategically plan and target your accounts.
Handle administrative tasks such as responding to emails and fulfilling meeting actions.
Analyse customer stock and sales data to identify challenges and opportunities.
Stay at the forefront of industry trends and products through sales training, vendor interactions, research, and self-study.
Participate in coaching sessions with Team Leaders/Sales Managers to enhance productivity and performance.
Key Skills for the Account Manager:
Previous experience in Account Management or Sales is essential.
Proficiency in marketplace websites and site management.
Competency in using Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to build trust, relationships, and negotiate effectively.
Strong listening skills and adeptness in effective questioning techniques.
Excellent time management skills.
Numerical reasoning capabilities, including margin and rebate calculations.
Administrative proficiency, encompassing diary management and MS Office skills.
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
