We are working with a leading technology company who are seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Account Manager to join our team in a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will be working on the retail sales team managing the D2C accounts. 

Key Responsibilities for the Account Manager: 

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within the existing customer network.

  • Regularly engage with customers to introduce new manufacturers, products, services, and technologies, fostering sales growth.

  • Drive new business opportunities through customer and brand engagement.

  • Profile potential leads to uncover avenues for new business development.

  • Utilise market intelligence and historical data to strategically plan and target your accounts.

  • Handle administrative tasks such as responding to emails and fulfilling meeting actions.

  • Analyse customer stock and sales data to identify challenges and opportunities.

  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and products through sales training, vendor interactions, research, and self-study.

  • Participate in coaching sessions with Team Leaders/Sales Managers to enhance productivity and performance.

Key Skills for the Account Manager: 

  • Previous experience in Account Management or Sales is essential.

  • Proficiency in marketplace websites and site management.

  • Competency in using Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, relationships, and negotiate effectively.

  • Strong listening skills and adeptness in effective questioning techniques.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Numerical reasoning capabilities, including margin and rebate calculations.

  • Administrative proficiency, encompassing diary management and MS Office skills.

  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
