Our client, an official government body, is currently seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team on a contract basis.  The Senior Finance Business Partner will contribute to the collective leadership our client, and lead on specific projects or significant strategic programs of work.
Experience working with a Council is needed for the Finance Business Partner.
Key Skills for the Senior Business Partner:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead and manage a team

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships

  • Ability to provide professional expertise and advice on strategic programmes of work

  • Knowledge of financial planning, budgetary control, and risk management

  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures to support service delivery and continuous improvement

  • Understanding of national and local standards and requirements


Key Responsibilities Finance Business Partner::

  • Lead on specific project/programme or significant strategic programmes of work

  • Manage a programme team and provide professional expertise and advice

  • Lead the engagement with key stakeholders internally and/or externally

  • Provide innovative and transformative solutions and best practice

  • Manage risks and issues identified with the programme and report on findings and recommendations within agreed timelines

  • Work collaboratively with senior colleagues to develop the council's strategic approach to service delivery and business improvement

  • Deliver a significant work programme on time, with identified resources and within agreed budget

  • Keep informed and lead implementation and awareness of changing local and national policy and practice issues

  • Develop strategic partnerships and plans to deliver income streams for the organization and establish efficient governance and delivery processes for income generation opportunities

  • Foster effective joint working between and beyond services and network with a range of external partners and agencies
