Our client, an official government body, is currently seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team on a contract basis. The Senior Finance Business Partner will contribute to the collective leadership our client, and lead on specific projects or significant strategic programs of work.
Experience working with a Council is needed for the Finance Business Partner.
Key Skills for the Senior Business Partner:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead and manage a team
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
Ability to provide professional expertise and advice on strategic programmes of work
Knowledge of financial planning, budgetary control, and risk management
Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures to support service delivery and continuous improvement
Understanding of national and local standards and requirements
Key Responsibilities Finance Business Partner::
Lead on specific project/programme or significant strategic programmes of work
Manage a programme team and provide professional expertise and advice
Lead the engagement with key stakeholders internally and/or externally
Provide innovative and transformative solutions and best practice
Manage risks and issues identified with the programme and report on findings and recommendations within agreed timelines
Work collaboratively with senior colleagues to develop the council's strategic approach to service delivery and business improvement
Deliver a significant work programme on time, with identified resources and within agreed budget
Keep informed and lead implementation and awareness of changing local and national policy and practice issues
Develop strategic partnerships and plans to deliver income streams for the organization and establish efficient governance and delivery processes for income generation opportunities
Foster effective joint working between and beyond services and network with a range of external partners and agencies
