We're seeking a hungry Business Development Manager to join our client. You would be responsible for delivering on-target MU sales in the developer and end-customer channels within your assigned territory, you will have a proven background in ICP/UIP/IDNO/IGT utilities business development.
The ideal candidate will have experience in adjacent markets, such as house building or technical product sales to developers. As a Business Development Manager you'll be responsible for exceeding monthly sales, margin, and KPI targets, managing a self-discovered opportunity pipeline, and ensuring proposals are submitted promptly and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities of the Business Development Manager:
Exceed monthly sales, margin, and KPI targets.
Generate and manage a self-discovered opportunity pipeline.
Collaborate with estimating team for timely proposal submissions.
Ensure thorough follow-up on all proposals for conversion, providing detailed feedback.
Lead opportunity development, tendering activities, and customer negotiations.
Cultivate lasting relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Collaborate with other divisions to maximize company success.
Incorporate customer drivers into proposed solutions.
Provide accurate market and sales reports to support business development.
Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend innovations.
Experience required of the Business Development Manager:
Experience in a similar industry or utilities environment.
Sales and tender management experience.
Background in ICP/UIP/IDNO/IGT/utilities infrastructure.
3+ years' experience in business development or sales.
Experience in site works and civils within utilities infrastructure.
