Communication and Engagement Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to lead communications and engagement for a large corporate organisation. The role offers diverse challenges and a real opportunity to make a difference.

As the Communication and Engagement Lead you will work closely with the Workplace Services Leadership Team, advising them and engaging colleagues at all levels across the business.

Key Accountabilities for the Communication and Engagement Lead:
  • Develop and deliver an internal communication and engagement strategy to support Workplace Services’ leadership and contribute to overall business objectives.
  • Advise Workplace Services’ leaders on communications, including key messages, tone of voice, and channels, with a priority focus on the Head of Workplace Services.
  • Own, manage, produce, and edit all Workplace Services customer and people communications.
  • Plan, lead, and deliver experiential engagement events, such as town halls, workshops, and operational team meetings.
  • Adapt wider business campaigns and messages for Workplace Services’ audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with internal communications teams and other business areas to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with broader communications.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative feedback to assess communication effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Share Workplace Services updates, success stories, and talent initiatives across internal communication channels.
  • Actively participate in the internal communications network, contributing to knowledge sharing and best practices.
Essential Skills and Experience for the Communication and Engagement Lead:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with the ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in developing and delivering internal communications within a large, matrix organisation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt leadership styles as needed.
  • A natural storytelling ability with a strong understanding of tone of voice.
  • Ability to quickly understand the business and produce engaging, inspiring communications.
  • Sound judgement in applying communication principles to specific organisational contexts.
