If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our clients team as a Finance Business Analyst.

Main Purpose of the Finance Business Analyst

As a Finance Business Analyst you will play a critical role in supporting and leading various aspects of the Finance requirements within the context of their transformation program. This program includes defining business requirements, designing processes, documenting procedures, conducting training, facilitating testing, and overseeing implementation. Your work will be essential in aligning the finance function with our evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Analyst

  • Assist in integrating finance requirements into our transformation program, particularly in relation to the impact of a new core banking system on financial control and reporting.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure finance requirements are accurately captured and delivered in line with business requirement documents. Provide additional insights to address any identified gaps.
  •  Lead elements of finance change, ensuring accurate requirement capture and collaborating with teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of management information and reporting from the new core banking system, ensuring alignment with the bank's accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with developers and the program team to ensure the new system's reports adhere to accounting policies. Propose solutions for any identified gaps.
  • Develop and document new end-to-end processes and procedures, including risk and control overlays, ensuring alignment with minimum policy standards.
  • Assist in creating high-quality training materials for operational readiness within the Finance function and the broader team when necessary.
  • Act as the Finance Business Analyst at project meetings, providing regular and accurate progress reports on all finance-related aspects of the transformation plan.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to identify inefficiencies and develop solutions as part of our wider transformation agenda and continuous improvement regime.

Experience required of the Finance Business Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience in finance transformation projects, including process design and implementation.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Knowledge of core banking systems and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in documenting processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of financial controls and risk management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
