Our client is recruiting for a new Finance Operations Managerto join their established and well known college group. The Finance Operations Manager will join our clients Operational finance team and will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of cross-College financial strategies, delivering on finance related projects and overseeing all transactional finance-related activities.
Responsibilities for the Finance Operations Manager
Management of the operational finance team to include management and development of staff
Review and approve all transactional finance activity, including: accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking. Ensure ‘month-end’ deadlines are met and accounts are reconciled in a timely manner
Reviewing operational finance processes, making recommendations for control and efficiency improvements
Raising awareness of the Group’s financial regulations and procedures, ensuring compliance by all staff
Key Skills & Experience for the Finance Operations Manager
Essential
Qualified Accountant (CCAB/CIMA), or completed AAT Level 4
Previous Payroll experience
Confident and experienced user Microsoft Excel (High level spreadsheets and pivot tables)
Experience managing a teamof Transactional Finance Staff
Strong written and spoken communication skills
