We are looking for Lead Data Scientist to lead the charge in harnessing the power of data to create innovative solutions that enhance user experiences and drive organisational effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and pharmaceutical specialists to ensure data interoperability and flexibility, enabling seamless integration into diverse customer-facing products. Your expertise in data science, engineering and modelling, including Natural Language Processing, will shape the journey of data from creation to utilisation, ultimately influencing our clients’ decision-making and organisational insights.


Main Responsibilities of the Lead Data Scientist

  • Champion data-driven innovation, leveraging your data science skills to conceptualise, experiment, and productionise data.

  • Clearly communicate the potential of data and analysis, inspiring others with its possibilities.

  • Design and implement data models, pipelines, and flows to connect internal and external data sources with output use cases.

  • Optimise operational efficiency within the organisation using data-driven insights.

  • Define and uphold data science standards, ensuring code and data quality, implementation robustness, result reproducibility, and continuous data processing monitoring.

  • Drive enhanced data usage for end-users, elevating data's value to the organisation.

  • Deliver high-quality, reproducible data analytics and data science solutions using NLP.

  • Develop and train team members to leverage data-driven approaches effectively.

  • Collaborate and engage with internal teams, stakeholders, and customers.

Knowledge & Skills required of the Lead Data Scientist:

  • Proficient end-to-end data skills with a demonstrated aptitude for implementing diverse analytical techniques.

  • Expertise in the Python ecosystem, preferably with experience in Natural Language Processing.

  • Experience in cloud environments, especially AWS.

  • Ability to collaborate with data engineers, data architects, and software developers to deliver holistic data solutions.

  • Experience working with structured, unstructured, and graph-relational data.

  • Strong leadership skills with a desire to develop into team management.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, capable of conveying technical insights to a multidisciplinary audience.
