We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PMO Analyst to join our clients dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless management and delivery of their software development projects, both internal and external, including coordination with offshore teams. They are looking for a PMO Analyst with an investigative and analytical mind, who enjoys using data to delve into solving issues and the reasons issues have arisen.
The role is based in Horsham and offered with Hybrid working of 2 days in the office and 3 days at home.
Key Responsibilities PMO Analyst:
Maintain governance standards across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring all key deliverables are tracked, monitored, and updated accurately.
Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of software development projects, from initiation to delivery, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle to facilitate project planning, execution, and delivery.
Establish and manage a repository for lessons learned from various software projects to promote continuous improvement.
Maintain and oversee the project risk register, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Provide critical data and metrics to support the monitoring of project objectives, key results, and performance indicators.
Oversee the automation of data extraction and reporting to ensure efficiency and reduce dependencies on key personnel.
Maintain accurate financial tracking related to software project deliverables.
Prepare consolidated reports for internal senior stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive visibility of project status and performance.
Prepare detailed monthly reports for clients and projects, summarizing progress, risks, and outcomes.
Organize workshops to identify and document ways to improve software development processes, presenting findings to senior management.
Experience and Skills Required of the PMO Analyst:
Extensive experience in data analysis and project management within a software development environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
In-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Proven experience working on both internal and external software development projects.
Experience coordinating and managing offshore teams.
Proficiency in using SQL or similar tools for data extraction and analysis.
General understanding of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Understanding of metrics used to analyse software development processes and measure improvement or degradation.
Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex ideas in an understandable manner.
Comfortable engaging with senior internal stakeholders.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to remain calm and objective under pressure.
Experienced with MS Office, including PowerPoint, and tools like Miro for mapping process flows.
Ability to write or define requirements for tools to support data extraction and analysis.
