Are you an experienced Senior Category Manager with a passion for making a difference?
We are currently seeking a Senior Category Manager to join the client on an initial 3 month contract. The Senior Category Manager will be responsible for providing procurement support for refurbishment and maintenance contracts, supplier relations, contract management, and contributing to quality assurance and service planning.
Key responsible for the Senior Category Manager:
Provide procurement support for refurbishment and maintenance contracts, supplier relations, and contract management, and contribute to quality assurance and service planning.
Contribute to commercial strategies, governance systems, and procurement best practices through both strategic and operational activities.
Work with the Category Lead for construction and environment to lead or contribute to the development of the Neighbourhoods and Housing Division
Demonstrate to managers and heads of service how effective procurement can improve service provision

Key experience for the Senior Category Manager:
Proven technical knowledge and working experience in procurement, with strong experience in major and minor works procurement projects and achieving cost savings.
Experience in establishing complex contracts and service agreements, collaborative working, making presentations, and using IT-based systems.
A relevant professional qualification (e.g. MCIPS) and/or appropriate professional experience at a senior level.
Procurement experience within a buildings/property/regeneration (new build) environment is essential.
Proven experience of working in a Property/Housing related environment at a senior level.
