We are searching for a Service & Repairs Technician to join our client's team on a permanent, full-time basis. The Service & Repairs Technician will be undertaking tasks that relate to equipment maintenance, working with a wide range of electric equipment. The Service & Repairs Technician will be working 5 days in and driven to ensure all equipment is kept in good working order and in excellent condition for next usage.
Key Responsibilities for the Service & Repairs Technician:
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a range of electronic products, including soldering for PCB-level repairs under magnified conditions.
Replace parts and components and record details of all repair work on their IT Systems
Assess cosmetic damage to presentation equipment and make recommendations regarding continued use.
Assist in the disposal of equipment that is BER or no longer fit for purpose.
Provide reports on equipment failures/damage and make suggestions that may lead to improvements.
Manage and process warranty repairs with manufacturers, and manage out-of-warranty and specialist repairs with third parties.
Ensure all work is undertaken in a safe way and that is compliant with all H&S and electrical safety standards.
Skills Required for the Service & Repairs Technician:
Fault-finding/commissioning experience of electronic equipment.
Good experience and understanding of test equipment and tools.
Good soldering skills.
Experience in Electrical Equipment testing (e.g: PAT).
Reasonable IT skills and ability to use computer-based repair systems.
Good technical ability and desire to learn and progress.
Good admin and telephone skills.
