We are seeking a highly motivated Service Desk Administrator to join a leading accountancy firm based in Canterbury on 12-month contract basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems to join our ambitious team.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist employees with IT issues via phone, email or in-person
- Monitor and respond to service desk tickets, track progress and ensure all requests are resolved within agreed SLAs
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in IT service delivery and suggest solutions
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and escalate to senior IT staff when necessary
- Perform regular software updates and maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Relevant experience in an IT position
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments, Office 365, Active Directory, and networking (e.g. VPN, WAN/LAN, routing, and switching)
- Knowledge of ITIL and service management principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
