The 2nd Line Support Engineer will be working within a company that helps its clients to be more successful and grow through IT. The 2nd Line Support Engineer will be working within a team of 2nd Line Engineers and will be responsible for providing the best and most efficient IT support whilst developing and learning more technologies along the way.

Key Responsibilities for the 2nd Line Support Engineer:
  • Troubleshooting customer IT issues remotely and on-site
  • System configuration and repair.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Follow, maintain, and enhance standard operating procedures.
  • User access and security administration.
  • Prioritize workload and work well under pressure.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Server backup checks and proactive maintenance.
Skills Required for the 2nd Line Support Engineer:
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent understanding of Windows Operating Systems and experience in supporting them.
  • Previous 2nd Line experience.
  • Previous MSP/Managed Service Provider experience.
  • Good networking skills and understanding of TCP/IP, router configuration, DHCP, DNS etc.
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies, Office 365 in particular.
  • Good understanding of Windows Server administration.
  • Good understanding of security requirements.
