As they continue to grow, they are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team in Enfield and play a key role in managing our financial processes. Role Overview:
As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the finance team with a range of essential duties, including order and payment reconciliation, raising invoices and quotes, and handling credit control tasks when required. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile Orders and Payments: Ensure all orders and payments are accurately recorded and reconciled within our financial systems.
- Raising Invoices and Quotes: Prepare and issue accurate invoices and quotes to clients and customers, in line with agreed terms.
- Credit Control: Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with customers to ensure timely settlement of invoices.
- Maintain Financial Records: Assist with the management of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial data is up to date and accurate.
- General Finance Support: Assist with various day-to-day finance operations and ad hoc duties as required by the finance team.
Skills & Experience:
- Finance Experience: Previous experience in a finance or accounts role with both accounts payable and receivable experience is essential
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of financial work.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication, especially when dealing with customers or suppliers regarding payments and invoices.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Familiarity with Excel for financial reporting and data entry.
- Xero: Experience with Xero is preferred
- Credit Control Experience (Desirable): Some experience in credit control or managing outstanding payments is advantageous but not essential.
