2nd LINE SERVICE DESK WANTED!
We are seeking a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer to join our client’s team on a permanent basis. The 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer will be working full time in the office and supporting, monitoring, and fixing the existing IT infrastructure, working on new systems and upgrade projects. The 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer must have previous 2nd line support experience, and be comfortable working with Microsoft technologies.
Key Responsibilities for the 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer:
Checking and monitoring the backups, the email systems, installing software patches, desktop, server and application
Liaising with suppliers for warranty repairs
Ordering hardware/software
Providing support to end users including remote office and home workers
Account creation/deletion of joiners and leavers
Maintaining the asset database
Cyber and information security activities in line with our Information Security Management System
Importing data into Oracle needed for development and test teams
PC Troubleshooting and repairing
Skills Required for the 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer:
Microsoft Windows 10/11/Server 2016/2019/2022
Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD
IP Networks, Switches & Cabling
Virtualisation (Hyper-v)
Backup Systems
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Attention to detail
Calm under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
