Our client is seeking a Transport Sourcing Manager on a permanent basis. The Transport Sourcing Manager will be working within a market leading company within the school travel industry and specialising in international tours for schools and groups across Europe and worldwide. The Transport Sourcing Manager will be responsible for discussing requirements for transport and flights for forthcoming seasons to ensure appropriate commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities for the Transport Sourcing Manager:
To line manage and support the Transport Procurement Team to source, price and book transport in line with budget and group trip requirements.
Liaise as necessary with transport operators to maintain an updated view on transport availability across the seasons.
Manage workflow to ensure all relevant information regarding relevant tours is sent in a timely manner to transport operators according to relevant deadlines.
Ensure invoices are checked and processed in a timely manner and costs are accurately maintained within the company system.
Support the Transport team to investigate and resolve any queries relating to trips.
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with transport operators.
Maintain and update transport operator and health and safety details.
Skills Required for the Transport Sourcing Manager:
Experience of managing and developing staff.
Knowledge and experience of booking transport elements for Group tours.
An understanding of coach drivers’ hours.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
