This will be a field-based role and the Service Engineer must be able to drive.
Key Responsibilities for the Service Engineer
- Respond to reactive service calls and carry out planned maintenance across client sites, ensuring timely resolution of issues within SLA targets.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control) and network infrastructure, maintaining optimal system performance.
- Liaise directly with client stakeholders, including site management and IT teams, to coordinate service activities and ensure minimal disruption to building operations.
- Engage with third-party suppliers and hardware vendors to expedite parts replacement, technical support, and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, including fault reports, maintenance logs, and system updates.
Key Experience for the Service Engineer
- Proven experience in servicing and maintaining electronic security systems and IT/network infrastructure.
- Experience working in Smart Building environments or with Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of and experience using manufacturer remote diagnostics portals to support fault diagnosis, system monitoring, and remote troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with IP-based systems and network diagnostics.
